Audience feedback- Website (13/11/15)

In order to improve the website we got some feedback from our target audience. This was extremely useful as they are completely unaware of who our artist is. Therefore, it was interesting to see what we were representing our artist as on the website. They then gave us some suggestions for improvements that can be made which we were able to utilise.

What did I learn from target audience feedback?
After asking the questions, we changed the header on every page to the same gold picture. This gives the website a sense of consistency which our target audience urged us to do. Their were also some grammar and spelling issues which they pointed out which we also changed. One person asked stated they found it strange that in many of the photos our artist was wearing the same outfit, therefore we changed some of the images on the website for better variation.

In order to get audience feedback we posted each product on Facebook.

Shoot Day 2 Reshoot (17/11/15)

We did a re-shoot of the dance sequence in the main hall and it went much more according to plan than the first shoot. The main hall was a more effective location as there was more space and better lighting equipment. I performed in the video and it ended up being completed in an hour as we worked swiftly and efficiently. Paul operated the lights and Chloe and Ana each filmed using separate cameras from different angles. We tried to film a lot of cut-away shots as we knew these would be the ones most useful for the video. We experimented with different lighting but felt the most suitable was the red as this represents anger and love- prominent ideas in the video. I tried to communicate feelings of sadness through facial expression and elongated movement.

I am excited to see the outcome of this shoot and start integrating the dance into the video!

Reshoot planning (9/11/15)

We plan to reshoot the dance this week . Unfortunately Roisin is unable to film this week due to being at school. Therefore we collectively made a decision to alter the choreography and make the dance a solo. We have decided to shoot extreme close-ups, to depict a sense of intimacy, and extreme long shots, to portray a sense of loneliness.

We will follow a similar plan to before, using two cameras and shooting from different angles. Hopefully the different location and lighting will mean the shots will be more effective than the first shoot.

Location Research (9/11/15)

In order to reshoot the dance sequence we needed to find a new location. Ana took some test shots in the main hall as there is a stage with a white screen and lighting. After looking at the outcome of the test shoot I think the main hall would be an appropriate location as their is space to dance and effective lighting which we can utilise in the shots.
